Lead times
Please allow for the following lead times:
– 3 working days to prepare your company’s registration documents from receipt of your payment. The documents are signed electronically (so there’s nothing to send us by post);
– 1 working day max. to receive your company’s Certificate of Registration;
– Visa de résidence, you have 2 possibilities:
— Case n°1: you are present in Dubai for 3 weeks (from Monday morning to Thursday evening 2 weeks later) to obtain your visa;
or
— Case °2: we submit your file to Immigration Services 3 weeks BEFORE your arrival in Dubai. You will then need to be present for only 6 working days in Dubai (from Wednesday morning to Wednesday evening of the following week) to obtain your visa (= pink sticker in your passport).
– If applicable, visa for wife/husband/child(ren): as soon as you have obtained your residence visa and have rented/bought a property in Dubai, we will be able to apply for visas for your wife/husband and children (see documents required on page 15).
– EmiratesID (= identity card in credit card format): it is now necessary to make an appointment with the Authorities to obtain the “fingert print” (fingerprint). It currently takes 3 weeks to obtain an appointment. To take this appointment, you must be present in Dubai and have already completed the medical examination. It takes a maximum of 2 hours to take your fingerprints (we can also accompany you, of course). The EmiratesID will then be delivered to our P.O. Box, at least 7 working days after the fingerprinting (you don’t need to be present to receive it, but we will of course keep it for you if you are no longer present).
– UAE driving license (= local driving license): as soon as we receive your EmiratesID, we can accompany you to the Dubai Traffic Department to obtain your UAE license in 2 hours on the spot (please note that you can no longer drive with a foreign license once you have obtained a residence visa);
– Personal bank account: once your EmiratesID has been obtained, we can meet with the bank to open your personal bank account. It takes about 5 working days to obtain it.
– Business bank account: you have 2 options (both are possible, of course!):
– Online banking: can be opened as soon as the company is registered, max. 5 days to receive your account number;
or/and (both are possible at no extra cost!)
– Local bank in Dubai: can be opened as soon as you have obtained your residency visa, it takes about 3 weeks to get your bank account number in a local bank in Dubai.
