In Dubai, medicines can be bought in pharmacies that are usually open from 9:30 am to 1 pm and from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm or even later, from Saturday to Thursday. Newspapers always indicate the pharmacy on call outside these hours. Most hospitals also have a 24-hour pharmacy.
Some drugs are prohibited in the UAE (consumption and importation even if you have a prescription). Here is the list of these prohibited drugs.
