This is the FTA agency that issues Tax Residency Certificates for individuals and companies.

Where is the application made?

The application is made on the following platform:
https://trc.tax.gov.ae/

The cost of a Tax Residency Certificate:

– AED 500 for all tax filers.
– AED 1,000 for individuals not subject to tax.
– AED 1,750 for legal entities not subject to tax.

The duration of the procedure

It will take approximately 45 Minutes to complete the application form.

It will take 3 business days from the date of receipt of the completed application.

What documents do you need to provide?

Individual

If the applicant is an individual:

– Passport,
– Valid residence visa,
– Emirates ID,
– Certified EJARI,
– Certificate of source of income/salary,
– A bank statement issued by a local bank for the last 6 months of the fiscal year to which the application relates.
– An entry and exit report from the Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority.

The steps

– Create a Tax Certificate account by clicking here.
– Access the account dashboard.
– Click on “Create a Tax Certificate”.
– Complete the creation process.
– Once ready, the TCR can be downloaded from the TRC platform: https://trc.tax.gov.ae/TRC_Th/.
– The CRT is valid for one year from the beginning of the fiscal year selected by the applicant.
