To obtain this type of visa, you must hold a Freelance permit in Dubai.
Therefore, it is necessary for the Freelance permit to be issued first before the visa application can be submitted.
Timeline for a freelance visa in Dubai
To obtain a visa for a freelancer, you have 2 options:
– Option 1: You are present in Dubai for 3 weeks (from Monday morning to Thursday evening 2 weeks later) to obtain your visa; or
– Option 2: We submit your application to the Immigration Services 3 weeks BEFORE your arrival in Dubai. You will then need to be present for only 6 working days in Dubai (from Wednesday morning to Wednesday evening of the following week) to obtain your visa.
Regarding the Emirates ID (identity card in credit card format): it is now required to make an appointment with the Authorities to undergo fingerprinting. Currently, the waiting time to get an appointment is 3 weeks. To schedule this appointment, you must be present in Dubai and have already undergone the medical examination. A maximum of 2 hours is required to take your fingerprints (we will accompany you, of course). The Emirates ID will then be received at our post box, at least 7 working days after your fingerprints are taken (your presence is not required to receive it, we will keep it for you if you are no longer present).
