The Certificate of Incorporation and the Memorandum of Association of the company are written in English and Arabic. All exchanges with our company are in French. Can a Free-Zone company take stakes in other companies (holding company)?
A Free-Zone company can take any shareholding (and thus act as a holding company) in other companies, located in the UAE and outside the UAE. It benefits from the network of double tax treaties signed by the United Arab Emirates. Only the DWC Free Zone (Dubai World Central located in Dubai South) does not allow it.
